The Liberty Memorial was conceived by Veterans who are OHHS graduates in recognition of the OHHS graduates who served in the Armed Forces of the United States.

The plan for the memorial was advanced in collaboration with the leaders in the Ottawa Hills community, the Ottawa Hills School Board, and the OHHS staff. The memorial was designed by Todd Kime of Kime Design LLC.

Construction of the memorial will begin at the end of the 2011-2012 school year.
