'Aladdin Jr.' wows audiences over 4 shows

Posted On: Sunday, February 9, 2020

The Acting Out! Production of "Aladdin Jr." was absolutely incredible. More than 175 students in grades 4-12 were part of the cast and crew, including more than three dozen Junior/Senior High School students who joined the tech crew, planned the choreography, helped to direct, and mentored the younger students.

The Friday and Sunday shows were nearly sold out, and the four performances came within striking distance of beating the ticket-sales record set last year by "Beauty and the Beast Jr.".

An extensive creative team made up of parent, community, and student volunteers made hundreds of props and costumes to bring the magic to Ottawa Hills. Many thanks to Amelia Lefevre, Darrin Broadway, Kimberly Manchur, and senior Priya Bhatt for their leadership, compassion, and creativity.

Special thanks to parents Judy McCracken, Jennifer Sherman, Lisa Brown, and the dozens of parent volunteers.

Congratulations to the cast and crew!
