The OH boys' and girls' varsity soccer teams host a "Kicks for a Cure" event Oct. 12 to benefit Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio at Niedermeier Stadium. The game will be a "Pink Out" so attendees are encouraged to dress accordingly.
The boys play at 5 p.m. against Cardinal Stritch; the girls at 7 p.m. against Maumee. All week during school, the student-athletes will sell 50/50 raffle tickets and a chance to win a gift basket valued at more than $250 filled with gift cards and goodies. The winning ticket will be drawn at halftime of the girls' game; the winner does not need to be present to win.
There will also be chances at halftime of both games to buy a "Penalty Kick" and take a shot on a mystery celebrity in the Green Bear Costume. Finally, any donation received at both games over $5 will receive a delicious treat from the Cookie Lady.
Please see your favorite boy or girl soccer player for more details and get your pink on and come out and support this great cause.
