End-of-Year Information

The last day of school is Thursday, May 30.  There are activities planned for that day to make it fun for the students.  It is important to know that the students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.  We view the day as a celebration to the end of a great school year.

The school yearbooks will be distributed at 8:15 a.m. so students can look through them and have them signed by their classmates.

We are pleased to share that at 9:30 a.m., Ottawa Hills High School senior graduates will parade over to the elementary school, and through our halls as a way to celebrate their journey with our younger students.  We are excited to celebrate these graduates, and invite you to the school at this time to join us in this celebration.

Field day activities will take place from approximately 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on the school playground.  Students should come to school in clothing that will be comfortable and appropriate for field day events.  Be sure to remind your children to dress in the colors of their field day team.  In case of inclement weather, each grade level will provide activities within their own classrooms.

The children will be having a class picnic with their teachers immediately following field day.  Students should pack a lunch including something to drink.

All students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.  THERE WILL BE NO BUS SERVICE; THEREFORE, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTING YOUR CHILD AT 12:30 P.M. ON MAY 30.  There is no YMCA after care on May 30.

On a side note: Please check the tables outside of the office to see if any of the lost and found items belong to your child.  Anything that is left on the last day of school will be donated to a charitable organization.

Please contact the office with any questions.  Have a great summer.

Elementary Principal
