Members of the high school Teen PEP (Peers Educating Peers) team traveled to ProMedica Toledo Hospital last week for the annual Teen PEP fall kick-off and training.

Teen PEP is a student-led program that provides meaningful peer interactions aimed at facilitating relevant student wellness discussions on topics such as bullying, adolescent relationship violence, healthy communication, gender stereotyping, and forms of abuse.

This year’s Teen Pep members include: Autumn Richard (12), Zak Maaieh (11) Anjali McGrath (11), Hope Schaefer (11), Victor Tavtigian (11), Avery Dale (10), Sophie Heidenreich (10), Stephen Souder (10), Andrew Helgren (11), Evan Muse (11), Deepta Paramasamy (12), and Abigail Westmeyer (11). All members of Teen PEP will meet soon to begin planning for the high school classroom presentations they will provide later in the schoolyear.

“Teen PEP programming is an excellent example of the school’s commitment to provide students with the social-emotional support they need to be self-assured, self-actualized, and resilient,” said Principal Ben McMurray.
