The district received a special state award tonight for how well we kept financial records and accounted for public money for the fiscal year ended 2019. "The Auditor of State Award" is given to less than 8 percent of the approximate 5,900 entities across Ohio that spend taxpayer money.
Accepting the award during the Board of Education meeting was district Treasurer Brad Browne; bestowing it was Lori Brodie, the Northwest Regional Liaison for Keith Faber, the Ohio Auditor of State. The audit for Ottawa Hills Local School did not contain any findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, Uniform Guidance (Single Audit) findings or questioned costs.
Congratulations to Mr. Browne and the Treasurer's Office team! Keep countin' those pennies!
